Chainmail was the earliest form of metal armor and was probably invented before the 5th century by the ancient Celts. Today, many of these ancient patterns have been adapted to create chainmaille jewelry, which features repeating patterns of interwoven links.
This beautiful necklace features 9 links per inch completely surrounding enclosed baroque black pearls. The total length of this necklace measures 18 inches and includes the hand-made clasp. One of the challenges that makes this necklace unique is that the entire piece has been soldered, except one link, which is where the pearls are put in. It is a gorgeous statement piece, which will become one of the treasures of your collection!
