Filigree takes many forms, but one of my favorite is the floral tracing filigree that is reminiscent of the Renaissance. This type of floral patterning can be seen historically in architecture, scrollwork and calligraphy, and in furniture-making for centuries. It is an enduring, beautiful shape that both cleverly echoes nature, but also celebrates the beauty of simplification.
We are happy to create this lovely necklace for you in any length you need. The stone shown is an 8 mm laboratory grown blue sapphire cabochon, set in a delicate gallery wire bezel. The chain is a sterling silver oval link chain that features a sterling silver lobster claw closure.
Most of the sterling silver jewelry that is shown in my store has been antiqued and then re-polished in order to better show the detail, but can also be created with a bright, mirror finish if you prefer. Please let me know if you have any questions about this lovely piece of jewelry!
