This ring features a 6 mm wide detailed sterling silver pattern band with a lovely arabesque pattern around the length of the band reminiscent of the scrollwork and design done during the Middle Ages. In French, the word "Arabesque" roughly translates into "Smoke Swirl" - thus the rather whimsical name for this pattern.
The 8 mm x 6 mm cabochon set in this ring is an almandine garnet, the birthstone for January. The distinctive red stone has been worn for centuries because of its durability and resistance to wear. This ring has been darkened, then re-polished, to show off the details of the elegant pattern.
