Sapphire, the birthstone of September, is most desired in its pure, rich blue color but is present in almost every color including pink, yellow and green. In the Middle Ages the gem was believed to protect those close to you from harm and also represented loyalty and trust. This ring features a bright blue laboratory grown sapphire cabochon that measure 8 mm x 6 mm and is set in a fine silver bezel. The band is embossed with beautiful scrollwork, and measures approximately 6 mm (.25 inch) wide. The sterling silver that is shown in my store has been antiqued, and then re-polished in order to better show the detail, but can also be created with a bright, mirror finish if you prefer. I am happy to create this ring for you in any size you need, including half and quarter sizes.
